Senator Paul Simon Had a Vision: What’s Yours?

Together we can break down barriers to study abroad.

The Senator Paul Simon Study Abroad Foundation Act started with the vision of the late Senator Paul Simon and his fundamental belief that a global experience should be part of every student’s education. He believed that on a national scale such experiences could, and in fact would, “lift our vision and responsiveness to the rest of the world.”

The Simon Act sets an ambitious goal: that in 10 years’ time at least one million American college students from diverse backgrounds will study abroad each year all over the world, especially in developing countries.

We need your help to make the vision of the Simon Act a reality. You can take action to spread the word about why making sure Americans know more about the world matters to you.
