Grassroots Leadership Program

Class of 2011-2012

NAFSA: Association of International Educators, whose 10,000 members worldwide power Connecting Our World, launched the Grassroots Leadership Program in 2010 in response to the growing demand at the state and local level for training and resources to help address public policy challenges faced by NAFSA members.

This inaugural class of trainees have developed reports that include resources and toolkits from their experiences for other advocates to draw from in tackling issues of concern in their own communities.

These reports address three common challenges:

  • Integrating International Students into the Campus and Community
  • Expanding Study Abroad Opportunities for U.S. College Students
  • Expanding Cultural and Language Learning Opportunities for K-12 Students

Learn from their experiences and read their reports.
